Project Implementation Manager

Implementation Project Management | Los Angeles, CA

As the Implementation Project Manager, you will be responsible for working with the team to document, prioritize, and evaluate product requirements and issues. You will work closely with the technical project manager to implement, track, and test all issues and projects. While you do not need to know how to code, this position requires a strong understanding of all the logistics that go into the development process—and how a technical product fits together. You’ll be the one who foresees all the snags, faults, and bottlenecks that threaten to push our timelines back, and gets us past them. You must be adept at project management and project management methodologies. UI/UX/Product skills are a bonus.


  • Manage all project phases—including initiation, scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure
  • Create project plans, including deliverables, activities, timeliness, and budgets
  • Direct day-to-day activities of assigned projects and staff
  • Ensure milestones are successfully met through oversight of project vehicles and coordination of resources
  • Work collaboratively with other departments impacting the project
  • Develop, build, and maintain long and trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead communication with stakeholders through completion of the project
  • Provide scheduled and on-demand status reports, tracking, and updates to stakeholders and senior management
  • Direct project timelines and budgets
  • Assess, manage, resolve, and (if necessary) escalate risks and issues
  • Tailor processes to meet the needs of each individual project and customer
  • Make decisions based on information and input in a timely manner
  • Identify opportunities for additional Shipsi services
  • Work on projects of high complexity


  • 4+ years technical project management experience
  • Understanding of web/internet technologies
  • Strong experience with project management tools and structured methodologies
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills for handling multiple and conflicting activities
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Passion for solving customer challenges and a commitment to their overall satisfaction
  • Attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to think independently and make decisions
  • Ability to adapt and operate effectively in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
  • Capacity for building relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • UI/UX/Product development experience


  • 75 – 85k per year, exempt
